Post :Software Support /Quality Assurance

Your role will be to focus on these areas:

• Making sure support requests from our customers around the world who use our mSupply desktop and mobile software (https://www.msupply.org.nz) are handled superbly well. Our customers will love the way you make sure they’re looked after. When required, provide guidance and train our customers on use of our software.

• Escalate issues that can't be handled to the development team, making sure that the development team plays their part in resolving issues.

• Create, run, and understand test cases for the software.

• Participate in the continuous process of improving testing/quality control.

• Report clear and descriptive feedback to development team on possible bugs. 

• Help troubleshoot issues.

• Interact with the development team regarding software requirements specified by the client.

Useful skills:

• Strong written and spoken English and Nepali (especially written English).

• Excellent general computer skills

• Being creative and taking initiative to problem solve.

• Being highly organised + able to prioritise tasks well 

• Great relational skills - you'll be working with a team, helping them to do their jobs well and treat our clients well. You'll need to be considerate, friendly, understanding, empathetic, clear and persuasive.

• Keen eye for detail 

• Experience in testing is a plus, but not required! 

We work a 40-hour week Monday to Friday in an office with about 14 people. The role is challenging, and we expect you to stay for at least three years, as it will take a long time to become expert at the role.

Working hours

• There may be a requirement on some days to work an early shift (6am-2:30 pm), which can be discussed during the interview. Our usual working hours are 8:30 am- 5pm.

Salary

This post is open to new as well as experienced applicants. The starting salary will be based on your current level of skill and experience.  We have an annual review during the start of the financial year, salary increments are not fixed and will be based on performance. We also pay an annual bonus that typically amounts to 3 months salary.
